Minimal disassembly and some basic tools may be needed.

Part Description: Pumps water out of the tub through the drain hose.

Failure Symptoms: Dishes not getting cleaned; Drain pump makes a grinding noise.

Testing: Use a multimeter to check the pump motor for continuity. If there isn't any continuity, or if it is getting power but still won’t run, the drain pump should be replaced.
