Repair Skill Level: 2 | Beginner to Moderate
Minimal disassembly (if any) and some basic tools may be needed.

Part Description: The rear bearing helps to support the dryer drum.

Failure Symptoms: Dryer making a squealing or grinding noise when rotating.

Testing: Remove the dryer belt and try turning the drum by hand. If the drum will rotate freely, and without noise, the bearing is likely not the problem. However, the drum is difficut to turn or makes a squealing or grinding noise the rear drum bearing could need replaced.

Bonus Tip: Overloading the dryer is a common cause of broken dryer parts. Learn your dryer's max capacity to get the best longevity out of it.
