Part Description: The circulation pump pushes water through the spray arms.
Failure Symptoms: Dishes not getting cleaned; Drain pump makes a grinding noise.
Testing: Listen for the pump once the dishwasher has filled, if the pump motor isn't making any noise or is just making a humming noise, the circulation pump motor may be burnt out. Check to make sure the impeller is clear of any debris and can turn, also check the pump housing and clear away any debris. If the pump is clear of debris and is getting power, but still not running, it may need replaced.
