Minimal disassembly (if any) and some basic tools may be needed.

Part Description: The hi-limit thermostat is a safety switch actuated by temperature change to keep the dryer from overheating.

Failure Symptoms: Dryer may heat too long, or may not heat at all.

Testing: Use a multimeter to test it for continuity in the thermostat. If there is no continuity it should be replaced.

Bonus Tip: Overloading the dryer is a common cause of broken dryer parts. Learn your dryer's max capacity to get the best longevity out of it.
