Repair Skill Level: 2 | Beginner to Moderate

Part Description: The burner electrode creates a spark that ignites the gas for the burner.

Testing: Monitor the burner electrode to see if it is producing a weak spark and/or making clicking sound but not igniting the burner.

Bonus Tip: Try cleaning the eletrode before replacing it. Sometimes grease and/or water gets to the electrode and causes it to act in a defective manor. to clean the electrode unplug your unit and remove the burner grate and burner cap to view the spark electrode. Use a cotton swap with rubbing alcohol on it to clean the ignitor. This will also help to dissolve liquid. Allow the ignitor to air dry before re-assembling the burner cap and grate. If this issue persists, the electrode may need replaced.
