Part Description: The idler pulley puts tension on the drive belt, helping it spin the dryer drum.

Failure Symptoms: Dryer makes noise and/or drum will not spin.

Testing: Check the idler pulley for signs of wear and make sure it spins freely on the shaft. If the idler pulley is stuck, worn or damaged, it should be replaced.
