Time for fridge clean up?

Follow these tips to freshen up your refrigerator.
- Turn off power to your fridge and remove all food.
- Remove shelves and crisper drawers and allow them to warm up to room temperature.
- Make up a solution of 2 tablespoons baking soda and 1 quart of water. Use it to wipe down the interior. This not only cleans your refrigerator but deodorizes it too. For caked on residue, liberally apply the baking soda solution with a wet towel. Let it soak for 10 minutes before wiping it away with a damp towel. Do not use soap or detergent as these leave behind odors that can be absorbed by food.
- Soak and clean the shelves and drawers with the baking soda solution as well. Then allow them to dry completely before reinstalling them.
- Clean the door gaskets with warm water and a mild dishwashing liquid.
- Once everything is completely dry, reassemble your shelving and turn the fridge back on.
Extra Tip: Keep your water clean and odor free with a fresh water filter. Most manufacturers recommend replacing your water filter every 3-6 months.
