*Please note that due to a design change, you may also need the cover guide (MCK49049101) and filter guide (MEA49050001) for proper fitment. If the lint filter pops up, catches on the clothes, or doesn't fit in the case correctly you may need one or both of these parts. See below for more info.
To determine which additional parts may be needed, please measure the width of your original filter. If the original measures 11.88" wide you may need both the cover guide and filter guide. If your original measures 11.24" wide you may need the filter guide, but be able to re-use the original cover guide.

Failure Symptoms: Lint screen or frame damaged or ripped.
Testing: Check lint filter / screen for damage.
Bonus Tip: Prevent air flow obstructions and lint fires by cleaning your lint filter 1-2 times per year. Residue from dryer sheets and fabric softener can build up over time, restricting air flow through the lint filter screen. Test your screen by pouring water on your lint filter screen. If the water pools up instead of flowing through the screen, wash the screen in warm, soapy water. Rinse, retest and repeat until the water flows through.

LG dryer lint filer replacement
This part fits and seems to be working fine. LG's design
of the filter is lacking, many people have problems with clothing getting stuck on the corner of the filter. This part is doing what it's supposed to. -
Perfect Fit
I originally ordered the wrong size filter replacement. I contacted customer service and they made the return process easy (even though i had to pay for shipping) they also sent me the link for the correct size which was great cause i didn't have a clue! Thank Thrifty!!!!

This Lint Filter was a perfect fit after we also replaced the filter cover. We first replaced only the filter but quickly discovered that the cover was also broken and somewhat warped. After replacing both, the fit was excellent. And delivery was excellent - we ordered Saturday and got delivery on Monday! Excellent service.
