What does "Remanufactured" mean?
Remanufacturing is the process of rebuilding a part to OEM specifications using both used and new components. Parts are often remanufactured when certain components of the original part are scarce or obsolete. Remanufactured parts may have some slight blemishes on areas that are inconsequential to the functionality of the part. - Which means the part may appear used in areas that do not affect how the part works.
What if the part doesn't work?
Due to the testing standards we have for remanufactured items, it's unlikely that a part will not work out of the box. However, we do offer a (90) Day Limited Warranty on all remanufactured items. This warranty applies to remanufactured items that have not been damaged due to improper installation / application, unauthorized modification, or misuse. PLEASE NOTE that we do not accept general returns on remanufactured items. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you confirm these parts are indeed needed to correct the problem, prior to purchasing.
What "Standards" do you use for remanufactured parts?
Our remanufactured parts must meet OEM Specifications, which means:
- Remanufactured parts must be free of workmanship defects.
- 100% of Remanufactured Controls must be put through a Full Functional Operational Test.
- The remanufacturing process must utilize IPC repair.
- Remanufactured parts may include any corrections that are present in later revisions of the part.
- Meet IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies standard.
- Meet IPC-7711/7721 Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies standard.
- Meet IPC-J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies standard.
